Toby holds a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience from the University of Minnesota, completed postdoctoral work at Harvard, earned an MBA from Kellogg, and holds the Oxford AI Diploma. He was a Sloan Fellow at London Business School.

He teaches the AI strategy course Building an AI Business: From Idea to Impact at London Business School and speaks at the Oxford AI Symposium on agentic AI enterprise deployment. He is a Harvard Business Review contributor.

His career spans senior leadership at Google, AWS, and Microsoft, and founding Verilytix AI — the parent company of Probility AI and Budscout AI. He is the author of 16 McGraw-Hill technology books.
